Trump Responds to Government's Proposed Protective Order in MAL Case

On Aug. 9, former President Donald Trump submitted a response to the government’s request for a protective order pursuant to the Classified Information Procedures Act in the case regarding mishandling of classified information at Mar-a-Lago.
The response requests that the government’s proposed protective order be changed to allow Trump to discuss classified materials in approved locations other than the “designated SCIFs in the Southern District of Florida.” He asks that approved locations include facilities where Trump “previously discussed (and reviewed) classified information during his term as President of the United States” near his personal residence.
